Springman - Lorenzo
Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Thursday, 9 January 1873
The Attica Ledger says: “The family of Lorenzo Springman, the drayman, who died last Saturday, has certainly a hard lot. Before the father could be buried, one of his children, a boy of twelve, died, and four others were lying very ill, two of them seriously so. Their disease seems to be some violent type of fever. There is also a rumor that the family was probably poisoned by eating something, but of this nothing definite has yet been ascertained.”
