Lester Andrew Springer, 42, a mechanic who has operated his own garage in Yountsville since 1939, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday at his home there. He had been in failing health for 3 months. Death was attributed to a heart condition. Born in Alamo on Jan 26, 1913, he was the son of Lewis and Flora Lane Springer. On Sept 26, 1936, he married Ida Olena Hibbs. He was a member of the Yountsville Methodist Church. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Kenneth and Keith both at home; 3 brothers, Ralph and Dale, both of Waynetown, and Brooke of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Williams of Waynetown and Mrs. Hazel Atkinson of Crawfordsville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Lester Andrew Springer who died Wednesday at his home in Yountsville, were held Friday at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Burial wa sin Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd Stephens, Gordon Crowder, Albert Taylor, Lawrence Hood, Harry Griggs and Clyde Linn. Flower bearers were Delores Griggs, Mildred Hood, Louise Hallett, Blanche Smith, Martha Neier, Pearl Leonard, Laura Whitecotton, Henrietta Stephens, Julia Huseman, Bonnie Thompson, Mary Crowder, Ethel Hart, Ethel Harkrider, Laura Halley and Sally Frazier. Mrs. Ethel Harkrider and Mrs. Jean Stewart, accompanied by Mrs. Nellie Shepherd sang, The Old Rugged Cross, and Your Cross.
