Oral L. Spragg, 79 of Kingman Rt 1, died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday Aug 28, 1973 at the Carmen Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. Born August 24, 1894, east of Wallace, he was the son of William Everett and Emma Shoaf Spragg. He was married Dec 24, 1918 in Wallace to Lola Harshberger who survives. Mr. Spragg had been a farmer in Jackson Township in FOuntain County. He was a member of the Wallace Lutheran Church and Farm Bureau. Survivors include a son, Max at home; two brothers, Clifford of Kingman and Paul of Crawfordsville Rt 3; 3 sisters, Mrs. Estle Stockdale of Veedersburg RR; Mrs. Ray (Omma) carter of Kingman and Mrs. Merrill (Phrona) Butler of Crawfordsville RR; and four nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Lutheran Church, Rev. Karl Korbel and Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial will be in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services.

WALLACE – Oral Spragg, 79, life resident of Jackson Township in Fountain County, died at 12:20 a.m. today in the Carmen Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Wallace Lutheran Church and Jackson Township Farm Bureau. He had resided at Rt. 1, Kingman. He was born Aug. 24, 1894, a son of William Everett and Emma Shoaf Spragg. He married Lola Hershberger on Dec. 24, 1918. She survives. Surviving besides the wife are a son, Max, at home; two brothers, Clifford of Rt. 1, Kingman and Paul of Rt. 3, Crawfordsville; three sisters, Mrs. Estel Stockdale of Rt. 3, Veedersburg, Mrs. Omma Carter of Kingman and Mrs. Phrona Butler of Rt. 6, Crawfordsville, and four nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Wallace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Karl Korbel officiating and the Rev. Alfred Dobbs assisting. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown after 2 p.m. Wednesday.  – jlr
