Susan Ethel Spivey, 84, of 224 N. Washington St., died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home. Mrs. Spivey was a retired owner of Spivey's Tavern. She was a member of Women of the Moose. Born Nov. 2, 1893, at New Market, she was a daughter of Edwin and Laura Bellus Reynolds. She married John Spivey on Jan. 7, 1914, in Montgomery County. He died in 1956. Surviving are a son, Warren of Sun Valley, Calif.; a half-brother, Charles Andrews of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A brother and a sister are deceased. Graveside services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Powers Funeral Home here from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
