Nathaniel Spencer died at the hospital in Terre Haute, Monday morning from an operation performed on Saturday. He has been in poor health for some time and has been in the hospital in preparation for the operation for several weeks. He spent the major portion of his life on a farm in Greene township and at one time served as township trustee. He has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Harry Beeson of Marshall for several years. Funeral services and burial were at the old Seceder Church near Portland Mills, Tuesday. -- kbz
