Mrs. Jesse SPENCER died at her home near here after a life long residence of 87 years in this community Monday morning. She and her husband had been in failing health due to the infirmities of age for some time and he preceded her in death on April 27 of this year. Mrs. Spencer was born Nov 7, 1864, the daughter of Adam and Sarah JACK. She married Jesse C. Spencer June 9, 1886. She was an active member of the Waveland Christian Church in her more vigorous days. There survive two sons, Earl of Crawfordsville and Harold of Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Mrs. Ben Canine of Waveland; a sister, Mrs. Alice Hazlett of Green Township; two granddaughters and four great grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Waveland Christian Church and burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery. - kbz
