Spencer - Jessie Hesler

Mrs. Jessie Spencer, age 77, died Sunday at her home near Milligan. She had lived there most of her life. She was born July 18, 1891 in Parke COunty. She was a member of the Waveland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Fred; a son Roger of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Coleman of Waveland; a sister, Ruth Spencer of St. Petersburg, FL; and four granddaughters. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Waveland Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Hanstra of Oxford officiating. John Cummings sang, "The Home of my Soul and The Unclouded Day, accompanied by Mrs. Lawrence Hazlett. Pall bearers were Lawrence Hazlett; Gerry Humphreys; Forrest Coleman; Harold Sowers; Vance Clodfelter and George Spencer. Burial was in the Bethany cemetery near Marshall.
