Mrs. Chloe Spears, former resident, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Alexandria, Va. She was 71 years old. Her husband was the proprietor of the Service Laundry on Washington Street when they lived here. Mrs. Spears was born in 1897 in Sullivan, Ind. Prior to moving to Alexandria about two years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Spears lived in Florida. Survivors include her husband, Leonard; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Marsh of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. Helen Dugger of Speedway, and a brother, Floyd Willis of Orlando, Fla. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Friday at the Feeney & Kirby Mortuary, 1901 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery at Indianapolis.
