At the residence of John Sparks, Mrs. John Sparks, who has been lying very low for the past six months with nervous disease, passed quietly away Monday morning, funeral at 2 o'clock p.m. conducted by Rev. Ewing, intered at the Alamo Cemetery by Undertaker Birdcell, of Waynetown. She acted her part nobly and died as she lived - a true Christian in every sense of the word and faithful unto death. Her life though short, was rounded and complete. She had tasted of lifes highest joys and deepest sorrows, through it all, she bore herself cheerfully, she was a woman of deep feelings and true instincts, she hated deceit, underhandedness and impurity, those who knew her best loved her most. Her place can never be filled as a mother, a christian and a friend to all, she leaves four sons and two daughters and a good husband. Peace be still. The father and children extend their thanks to the community for their assistance rendered during their mother's affliction and deep sorrow. “A Mother kind and true; Can never be forgotten: And now she is resting With Christ above caressing!”
