SPARKS, Mary "Mollie" Koonce

The Hornet extends sympathy to the relatives of Mrs. John Sparks in this their sad bereavement.  A mothers loss is the greatest that we are compelled to endure and the only consolation in that she is peacefully resting in the arms of her Savior.  A full account of her death will be found in the Alamo letter.    --- transcribed by  kbz

Mrs. Mary Sparks died last Monday  
Mrs. Laban Sparks, well known in this city died at her home in Lafayette Saturday, aged 39 of consumption.  She leaves a husband and two little daughters.  --- transcribed by  kbz

Mrs. Mary Sparks, wife of Jonathan Sparks of Ripley Township died last Monday at 7 o’clock after a long and tedious illness.  The deceased was the mother of Wallace and Walter Sparks of this city and Mrs. WL Denman of Alamo. She was a woman of more than ordinary intelligence and her loss will be deeply mourned by a large circle of friends.  The funeral took place at 1 o’clock Tuesday from the family residence.  --- transcribed by  kbz

Mrs. Mary Sparks died last Monday, Rev. Ewing of Crawfordsville, preached the funeral sermon on Tuesday. The remains were interred in the Alamo cemetery.  Mrs. Sparks leaves a large number of relatives and friends to mourn her departure.    --- transcribed by  kbz
