Mrs. Etta (Slusser) Sparger, 61 of Rt 1, West Point, died Wednesday in Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis where she had been a patient eight hours. She had been a patient there previously during a year’s illness. She was born at Newtown and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Women’s Army Air Force stationed at Orlando, Fla. She was married in 1945 to William D. Sparger at Indianapolis. They moved here in 1945 and lived in West Lafayette until 1953 when they moved to the West Point Community.  Surviving are the husband; five sisters, Mrs. Carl Dangler of St. Petersburg, Fla; Mrs. Thomas Judd of Tecumseh, Mich; Mrs. Donald Ray of Rushville; Mrs. Dorothy Stoeffler of Indianapolis and Mrs. Ronald Stevens of Andersonville and a brother, Floyd Leighty of Brooklyn, Mich.
