Frankfort – Mrs. Stella (Saidla) Spahr, 88, of 700 South Harrison died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday in Clinton County Hospital where she was admitted earlier in the morning. She had been in ill health about two months.  Born in Montgomery County, she came to Frankfort in 1890. She was married to George Spahr, Clinton County abstracter who died in 1946.  Mrs. Spahr was a member of the First Methodist Church. She was a past patroness of Tri Kappa sorority and an accomplished musician, having taught piano here for many years.  Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Branigan of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Madge Cooper of Darlington.

Spahr, Mrs. Stella – Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort. Services in funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, Dr. Frank R. Greer officiating; burial in Greenlawn cemetery, Darlington.  Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Helen Sherrill of Peru and two nephews, Paul Branigan and Marvin Cooper of Crawfordsville.
