Wallace -- Mrs. Minnie Olive Sowers, 80, d. at 6:30 o'clock Thursday morning at the home of her son, Vernice Sowers, following an illness of 9 days. Mrs Sowers suffered a stroke which caused her final illness. B. July 17, 1870 near Wallace, Mrs Sowers was the daughter of Hiram and Sarah (Brent) Grimes. She was marr. to Samuel H. Sowers in Wallace in 1890 (sic incorrect marr. date is: 3-14-1894 Bk 11 Fountain Co).

Mrs. Sowers was a member of the Methodist Church in Alamo. In addition to the son, Vernice at whose home she died, Mrs. Sowers is survived by another son, Leo Grimes of Wallace and a daughter, Mrs. LaVerne Clore, also of Wallace. She also leaves two brothers, Thomas Grimes and Oscar Grimes and a sister, Mrs. Lulu Krout, all of Wallace. There are also 9 grandchilren and four greats. F

riends may call at the home of her son, Leo Sowers, where the body will remain until the funeral. Serv. will be conducted at the Lutheran Church in Wallace at 2 o'clock Sat. afternoon in charge of Rev. John R. Servies. Burial will be made in the Cemetery adjoining the church.   -- typed by kbz
