Stringtown, Indiana - Clayton Sowers, 70, a resident of Yeddo, died at 5:14 o'clock Friday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Virgil Allen in Stringtown. He had been ill several months. Born May 28, 1880, in Fountaon County, Mr. Sowers was the son of Solomon and Emaline Lindley Sowers. He married Sara Orvis, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Yeddo Evangelical United Brethren church and the Masonic lodge. Surviving besides the daughter at whose home he died, are another daughter, Miss Marjorie Sowers of Crawfordsville and two grandsons. The body was taken to the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg where friends may pay their respects until noon Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Yeddo Evangelical United Brethren church, with burial at the Harveysburg cemetery. Rev. Leslie Smith will be the officiating minister. - kbz
