Sowers - Addie Arvis

"Yeddo News" -- Mrs. Addie Arvis Sowers, 56, prominent Yeddo woman, died late Wednesday night at her home here. Her death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Sowers was born March 7, 1882 in Fountain County, the daughter of Joseph and Hannah Robbins Arvis. She was married December 24, 1904 to Clayton Sowers. The deceased was a member of the Centennial Church and the Yeddo chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Surviving in addition to the husband, are two daughters: Mrs. Virgil Allen of Stringtown and Miss Marjorie Sowers of Yeddo, a brother, Harry Arvis of bloomingdale; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Renicker and Miss Emma Arvis of Yeddo, and two grandsons. Three brothers preceded her in death. The funeral arrangements will be announced later. - kbz
