Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Songer, age 75, of Crawfordsville Rt. 1, sister of Mrs. Bertha Edwards and Mrs. Lena Akers, both of Attica, who died early Wednesday morning, April 13, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert L. McDuffee, pastor of the Wesley Methodist Church, officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. Mrs. Songer was born Jan. 24, 1891, at Smartsburg, the daughter of William P. and Mary Watson Perry. She was married in 1934 to John R. Songer, who survives. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: three sisters, Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Akers of Attica and Mrs. Fern Shafer of Crawfordsville, and several nieces and nephews. – jlr
