Waynetown - Alice M. Songer, 89, formerly of Alamo and Waynetown died at 10:45 a.m. Thursday in the Lane House Health Care center at Crawfordsville. Mrs. Songer was a homemaker. She moved from Indianapolis to a farm ear Alamo in 1945 and then to Waynetown in 1981. She attended the Alamo Christian Church and Waynetown Christian Church. She was a member of the Alamo Order of Eastern Star Chapter 498. She was born Dec 11, 1903 at Atchison, Kans to Richard M. and Maude M. Branam Hartman. She married Robert A. Songer March 22, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1984. Survivors include three grandsons, including Butch Songer of Waynetown and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert C. Songer in 1982 and three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. James Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alamo Christian Church or the Waynetown Christian Church through the funeral home. - kbz
