Died on the 21st inst., of consumption, Samuel Snyder, aged 40 years, 9 months, 26 days.
Mr. Snyder was born and raised in this county, and was well known by our citizens. He was afflicted with consumption for six or eight years, but was not confined to the house but about three months previous to his death. A few days before he died, he became satisfied that his days were few, and expressed a wish to live longer, but was willing to go when called. During his sickness not a word of complaint escaped his lips. His relatives and many friends bestowed the kindest of attention and his every want was supplied so far as possible. Among the latter, the family will always cherish an affectionate remembrance of Jas. Steele, Jno. Breaks, Jas. Huff. The funeral services conducted by Jas. B. Gray, of Iowa, were largely attended. The remains were interred at Wesley Chapel.
