Snyder - Sallie - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Sallie Snyder was born at Yountsville, Montgomery County Oct 1864 died at Vallonia, Jackson County Jan 1, 1900, aged 35 years 2 months and 27 days. She was married to Wm. Stage Jan 15, 1891. To this union was born one son, Russel. She assumed the motherly care of Maud and Earl when they were quite small and loved, cherished and instructed them as she would her own, proving herself a mother indeed. She had a pleased and affable disposition ruling by love. We never heard of her speaking ill of her neighbors. All who knew her held in high esteem. Shew as sick about six weeks and bore her afflictions with that fortitude that characterized her life. In her death the community lost one of its best associates, the children a loving mother, the husband a true and devoted wife, the home its all. The funeral services were held at the ME Church on Wednesday Jan 3, 1900, Elder Shutts officiating after which her remains were followed by a large concourse of friends and relatives to the Vallonia Cemetery where they were laid to rest. - kbz
