Mrs. Lemoyne Snyder, 59 , of Hillsboro, died this morning in her home. She had been in ill health. Mrs. Snyder had owned and operated Lemoyne's Beauty Shop in her home for 15 years. She was a graduate of Alamo High School, a beauty college at Indianapolis, was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, was past matron of Fern Chapter Order of Eastern Star, member of Legion Auxilary and had been a Girl Scout and 4-H leader. She had served in the Women's Marine Corps from July 1943 to December 1945. Born March 29, 1915, at Alamo, she was a daughter of Albert M. and Lulu Seits Elmore. She married Carl Snyder on July 16, 1951, at Sullivan. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Carla) Smith of Terra Haute and Mrs. Jerry (Carol Ann) Brocklehurst of West Lafayette; a brother, James Wlmore of Pine Village; and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret McClure of California, Mrs. Marshall (Edith) Hauser of Ladoga and Mrs. James (Ethel) Boyle of Escanaba, Mich. Services will be at 2 pm Friday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home here with the Rev. Ernest Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:30 pm Thursday.
