Hillsboro- Relatives and friends in Hillsboro have received word of the death of Mrs. Lela Law Snyder, 81, former resident of Hillsboro at her home in Freemont, Michigan Oct 8. Funeral services were held at Wesleyan Methodist Church, Muskegon, Mich where Mrs. Snyder was a member on Oct 10 with burial in Mona View Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Snyder and Mr. Snyder's father, Ellsworth Snyder of Hillsboro attended the services. The daughter of George and Mattie McBroom Law, Mrs. Snyder was born on a farm east of Hillsboro May 5, 1880. Her father was a Fountain County commissioner. She was married to Arthur Snyder and spent the early part of her married life in this vicinity. Mrs. Snyder was a school teacher for a number of years, retiring in 1956. She wrote syndicated articles for newspapers for about 15 years. Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Zeta Sutton of White Cloud Mich and Mrs. Ava Grossenbacker of Allandale, Mich; a son Arthur at home, a sister, Mrs. Ava Bodine of Biscmark, Ill; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
