After a painful illness of more than four years, Jeremiah Snyder, Jr, died last Friday at the home of his father on west Main street. The last time the deceased was out was on election day in 1894, and he was then in miserable health. His death was expected many times since and often he was thought to be dying. He was 33 years of age and was raised in this county, where he had many warm, friends. The funeral was conducted at the home by Rev. H. L. Davis on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Jeremiah Snyder, familiarly known as Jed, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Snyder died at 2 o'clock Feb 4 at the family residence on west Main street after long years of suffering. For several years he has been afflicted with an acute form of rheumatism and for many months has lain in an invalid's chair enduring the severest pain. Death was indeed a welcome relief. Jed was born near Crawfordsville and would have been 32 years of ag ein March. He was earnest and conscientious in all things and but for his affliction would have made an honored and useful citizen. He was a member of the Trinity ME Church and displayed a Christian's fortitude throughout long years of suffering - kbz

After a painful illness of nearly four years Jeremiah Snyder, Jr. died at the home of his parents on west Main Street last Friday night. He was 33 years of age and was born and raised in this county. He was a young man of sterling character and until stricken with the fatal illness he led an active, industrious life that was full of promise. He was a patient sufferer and never complained of his condition but accept it with Christian fortitude. The funeral occurred from the family home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. HL Davis officiating. Interment at Oak Hill. -s
