VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Hannah Alice Snyder, 77, died Friday morning at Community Hospital in Geneva, Ill., where she had been a patient for a month. She had lived at Veedersburg since 1918. She was born July 24, 1889, near State Line, Ind. Her parents were Robert Phillips and Irene Makeson. On July 24, 1908, she married Martin T. Snyder, who died in August 1953. Mrs. Snyder was a member of the State Line Methodist Church. She was a former resident of Bismark, Ill. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Garnet Bodine of West Chicago; a son, Martin Snyder of Indianapolis; a half-sister, Minnie Ellingwood of Wingate; a half-brother, Joseph Phillips of Danville, Ill.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister and three half-sisters. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
