David Snyder, one of our most worthy citizens, residing about 2 miles west of the city, died yesterday about noon of typhoid fever. Mr. S. came to this county from Ohio, 11 years ago, and purchased and located on the farm where he died. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday at 11 o'clock a.m. at the Methodist Church, this city. The remains will be interred in the Masonic Cemetery - kbz

West Point Grange, No 110 – Patrons of Husbanrdry Nov 29, 1873 Worthy Master, Officers and Members – Your Committee appointed to express the sentiments and feelings of this Grange on the death of a brother, which occurred on Monday, Nov 24, respectfully submit the following: Whereas, it has pleased our Divine Master to call from the harvest field of earth to the Garner House above, our worthy brother, David Snyder, who was a kind and devoted brother, a faithful laborer, a diligent cultivator and harvester and an honest husbandman. And Whereas, as a brotherhood, we deeply mourn our loss; and would extend to the bereaved family our sincere sympathy in this their irreparable deprivation, of a kind and affectionate companion, and as ever indulgent father; therefore, Resolved, that the foregoing be spread on record in the books of this Grange, and a copy of the same be presented to the editors of the Crawfordsville Star and Review, for publication – Wm B.
