Snyder, Ella - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Crawfordsville, Miss Ella Snyder, former widely-known resident here and a secretary in the office of the Ben Hur Life Association for a number of years, died Friday at the home of a niece, Mrs. Ione Brown near Covington, Ohio, according to word received by Dr. Lloyd B. Howell, head of the department of chemistry in Wabash College.  Miss Snyder had lived with her sister, the late Mrs. Gilber Howell. They came here in 1900 when Mr. Howell assumed the editorship of the Ben Hur Chariot, official publication of the insurance society. Miss Snyder had made her home with her niece since a recent illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday with burial at Piqua, Ohio, her birth place.
