Covington - Mrs. Leona Snoddy, 87, of Covington Rt 1, died at 7 a.m. Firday, Feb 18 1972 at her home. She had been ill 4 months. Born Feb 19, 1884, at Coal Creek in Fountain County, she was the daughter of WIlliam and Amela White Vanicka. She was married June 10, 1906 to Samuel E. Snoddy who died July 20, 1938. A life resident of Wabash Twp she was a member of the EUB Church, Troy-Wabash Republic Woman's Club and Wabash Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include a son, Vernon L of Covington Rt 1; a daughter, Mrs. Forrest (Dosia) Kell of Cayuga Rt 1; two grandchildren, six great grandsons and a niece. She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and 3 brothers. Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Dobbs and Rev. Herman Smith officiating. Burial in Coal Creek Cemetery south of Covington. - kbz
