Mrs. Beulah A. Snelling, 68, of Newtown, a retired employee of RMC at Attica, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1977, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was a member of Union Christian Church, Richland OES, United Methodist Women, Richland Home Ec Club and Senior Citizens. Mrs. Snelling was educated in the Newtown schools. She was born in Richland Twp. on Sept. 26, 1909, a daughter of Alva and Dora McDonald Smith. She married Byron Snelling on Sept. 26, 1928, at Mellott. He died in 1965. Surviving are a son, Donald of Rt. 3, Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Hoagland of Newtown; a sister, Lena M. Floyd of Rt. 3, Veedersburg; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Watson officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery near Newtown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. Friday. – jlr

Newtown – Mrs. Beulah A. Snelling, 68, retired employee of RMC at Attica died at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. Born in Richland Township she moved to Attica where she resided until returning to Newtown in 1974.  In 1928 at Mellott she was married to Byron B. Snelling, who died in 1965.  Mrs. Snelling was an employee of RMC at Attica for 20 years, retiring in 1974.  She was a member of Union Christian Church, Richland Order of Eastern Star, United Methodist Women, Richland Home Extension Club and Newtown Senior Citizens. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Hoagland of Newtown; a son, Donald Snelling of Rt 3, Veedersburg and a sister, Mrs. Lena Floyd of Rt 3, Veedersburg. - kbz
