James W. Spencer, 80 well known resident of this community,
died today at his home here, after a week's illness. A native of
Parke Co, Mr. Spencer was born near Waveland where he spent his
early life. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Agnes Spencer and a
niece, Mrs. Alonzo Deere of Waveland. The body was removed to the
Brown Funeral Home in Montezuma pending arrangments for the
services which will be held today. Burial was made at the Oakland
Cem. in Montezuma. - transcribed by kbz
