Vernon E. Spaulding II
Oct. 21, 1934- April 28, 2008
Vernon E. Spaulding II, 73, Indianapolis, died 4:15 a.m. Monday. Mr. Spaulding was born Oct. 21, 1934 in Indianapolis, to Vernon and Mary-Alice (Kelso) Spaulding. He grew up in Crawfordsville, graduating from high school in 1952 and then from the University of Cincinnati in 1957. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity while at Cincinnati. He entered the military draft, where he was stationed in Hawaii and remained there for 27 years as an entrepreneur practicing commercial interior design. He married Nancy Hagan. The family moved to the San Francisco East Bay in 1983 until 1989 and then moved to Pebble Beach, Calif. for eight years. They later moved to Windsor, Colo. Survivors include his wife; and sons Lance (Jennifer), Marine County, Calif., and Peter of Flint Hill, Va. Cremation was chosen. Memorial contributions can be made to the Medical Center of the Rockies Foundation or the Mountain Valley Hospice Home Health Care.
