Kingman -- William H. Sowers, 82, died at his home here Thurs at
3:30 p.m. after an illness of several weeks. He had
operated a hardware store for many years but had retired
recently. Mr. Sowers was a member of Pleasant Grove
CHurch and was for 55 years a member of the Masonic Order
314 in Kingman. B. Oct 10, 1875 in Warren Co, he was the
son of James Madison and Louisa Jane Ratcliff Sowers. He
was marr. in 1921 to Beulah Hadley who survives. Also
surviving are a brother, Scott Ratcliff of Kingman and
two half-sisters, Mrs. Della Dalton Brownsburg and Mrs.
Bertha Culver Pittsboro. Fun. serv. will be held at the
Woodrow Fun Home here at 2 pm Sun with Rev. Kemp Tunis
offic. Bur. in Kingman Frat. Cem. Friends may call at the
funeral home 10 a.m. Saturday. -kbz
