Sowers - George

George Sowers, well-known resident of this community (Cates)
died last night at the home of his nephew, Homer Pearson, one
half mile W. of here. Death followed a lingering illness. Mr.
Sowers was 66 years old and was born on a farm near Wallace, Mar.
18, 1871 the son of Emsley & Eleanor Sowers. He was united in
marr. with Katherine Thomas in 1902, the wife passing away a year
ago. Surviv are: two sisters, Viola Pearson of Yeddo and Mary
Pearson of Danville, Ill; one brother and several other
relatives. Fun. serv. will be held at the Fredom Church near
Wallace Sat. aft and bur. will be made at the Zackmire Cemetery
near Wallace.
