Ralph E. Soots, 41, suffered a fatal heart attack at 3:30 p.m. Monday while sitting
in his parked car at Danville. He had been ill the past six days. Born Oct 5,
1917 in North Salem, he was the son of Earl and Hazel Kersey Soots. He was
married July 30, 1938 in Danville In to Marjorie Gibbs. Mr. Soots was a member of the North Salem Christian Church and attended
school at N. Salem. He had been employed at Indianapolis the past 17 years.
Surivors include the widow; two sons, David and Keith both at home, a daughter,
Barbara at home; his stepfather and mother Mr. & Mrs. John Bonames of N.
S.; three sisters, Mrs. Violet Leak of New Maysville, Mrs. Rosemary Masten of Clayton and Mrs. Betty
Ross of Plainfield. Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the North
Salem Christian Church with Rev. Chares
Barr officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hr. prior to
serv. Burial in New Maysville Cem. Friends may call at the Porter Fun Home at N
S after 5 p.m Tuesday.
