Smith- Vera Mitchell - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Vera D. Smith, 64 died on Sunday at Culver Hospital after being ill from the influenza for about a week.  She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday.  Mrs. Smith was born June 22, 1888 at Steam Corner, daughter of John and Olive Mendenhall Mitchell.  She was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church and Waynetown Rebekah Lodge 551.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Stockdale of Lewisville, Ind and Mrs. Wilma Denny of Waynetown; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Iilar of Steger, Ill and Mrs. Nettie Johnson of Orlando, Fla; three brothers, Braffert, Karl and Dwight Mitchell all of Lafayette and two grandsons. Funeral services were Wednesday at the Waynetown Baptist Church with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – kbz
