Crawfordsville – Mrs. Sallie C. Smith, 76, widow of Joe Smith, Crawfordsville, died Friday in a Logansport hospital. She sustained a hip fracture in a fall in May. Surviving are two sons, Barnard of Crawfordsville R 6, with whom she had been making her home for several years and Arthur of Santa Ana, Calif; two daughters, Mrs. Oma Horney, Lomita, Callf and Mrs. Sallie Hayes, Redondo Beach, Calif; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Robbins, Brook, Mrs. Lizzie Swaynie, West Lafayette, and Mrs. Martha Denny, living in Kentucky and a brother, John Cheek, Kentland. - kbz
