Mary Edna Smith, wife of the late James D. Smith died of inflammation of the bowels yesterday at 11:20 p.m. at the family home in Farr West after 5 days illness. Mrs. SMith was born in Montgomery County, Indiana December 5, 1844 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Cumberlin. She was married to James D. Smith in Iowa and came to Farr West, Utah, to live in 1890. Mr. SMith died June 2, 1891. Mrs. Smith was an active member of the Christian Church, and had many friends in the community where she lived.
The following children survive: Charles C, Far West; Mrs. Myrtle Murdock, Ogden; Mrs. Jessie B. Gunderson, of Roy; also 15 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Irene Cumnberlin, Ogden; Mrs. Iona McKay, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Jennie A. Goodwin, Thorpe, Wash; Charles Cumberlin, Page Co Iowa; Claud C. Cumberlin, Seymour, Iowa - kbz
