Smith - Malinda

Mrs. Malinda Smith died at the home of her son-in-law, William Gillis, in Highland at 5:45 o'clock Thursday morning. She was 64 years of age, having been born March 4, 1846. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Baptist church for 30 years. She leaves two brothers and one sister- the Rev. Perry F. Harrell and Frank Harrell and Mrs. Elvarita Stump, all of this city. Three daughters and one son survive. They are Mrs. Eliza Stonebraker. Mrs. Almeda Gillis, and Mrs. Jennie Swindler, all of Crawfordville, and James Smith, Hymara, Ind. The funeral will be held at the residence at 11 o'clock Saturday morning with burial at Oak Hill cemetery. The pallbearers will be Harley Swindler, William Gillis, Joe Stonebraker, Cecil Hudson, Frank Peyton and Herbert Cunningham – thanks so much to Kim H
