Mrs. Jane Smith, colored, of 408 Lafayette Avenue, received a paralytic stroke Monday night from which she never rallied until relieved by death at 1 o’clock yesterday. She was a devout Christian being a member of the A. M. E. Church. She leaves a husband, a daughter, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. But we feel assured that our loss is her eternal gain.
