JAMESTOWN -- Harold Glen Smith, 83, of Jamestown, died Saturday afternoon in Community Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. Smith retired in 1950 from Ohio Oil Co., and was a veteran of World War I. He was a 50-year member of Jamestown Masonic Lodge and also a member of Jamestown Christian Church. Born Dec. 9, 1887, he was a son of Almers and Cora Surratt Smith. He was married to Katharine Young in 1920 in Crawfordsville. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Weaver of Jamestown; two brothers, Lannis Smith of Jamestown and Rushton Smith of Remington; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Houston, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home in Jamestown with Rev. Harlan Kincade officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown. Friends may call at the funeral home.
