The funeral services for Mrs. Hannah P. Smith, held Thursday morning at 8 o’clock at her late residence on West Wabash Avenue were largely attended by relatives and friends. Rev. Earl Wilsey former pastor of the Christian Church here of which Mrs. Smith was a member conducted the services assisted by Rev. WH Kerr. Mrs. Wilfley and Mrs. Hessler sang How First a Foundation and One by One. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The pall bearers were Charles E. Lookabill, Joseph Egan, AE Eastlack, Gilbert A. Eldrege, Edgar A. Rice and Dr. WC Hessler. The body was taken on the 10 o’clock Ben Hur interurban to Indianapolis and from there to Windfall in Tipton County for interment. The burial will not occur until Friday morning the body being taken to the home of a friend of the family in Tipton so that it can be viewed by Mrs. Smith’s many friends there. She formerly lived at windfall., D.C. Barnhill, funeral director accompanied the funeral party to Windfall. Mrs. MW Hatkins of San Jose, Cal; Mrs. Whaley of Boliva, Mo; and Mrs. Graham of Greensburg, daughters of Mrs. Smith were here to attend the funeral. The two sons who live in California were unable to come. - kbz
