Crawfordsville – George Franklin Smith, 86, formerly of the Cherry Grove community near Linden died in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Waldon in Crawfordsville at 11:40 p.m. Saturday. He was a retired farmer and spent his life in Montgomery County. He was married to Grace C. Simmons who died in 1953. Surviving with Mrs. Waldon are another daughter, Mrs. Edna Cox of Crawfordsville and two sons, Nathan E. of Anderson and Maurice of Lafayette. – kbz
