Mrs. Paul Smith died at their home in Indianapolis yesterday morning at 9:30./ A telephone message came to relatives here early yesterday morning said she was some better, a second message conveying the news of her death.  Accompanied by the family the body will be brought to New Richmond today and will be taken to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. TM Shotts. The funeral will probably occur Friday.  Buried New Richmond 1883-1913

Mrs. Frances Smith, wife of Paul Smith, died at 9:30 o’clock Wednesday morning. May 14, after a long from complications following a severe attack of typhoid fever, her illness dating from about Christmas time. The body, accompanied by the husband and little son, was brought to New Richmond Thursday and taken to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. M Shotts. The funeral occurred Friday morning from the Christian church, conducted by Rev. T. L. Cooksey of Crawfordsville, under whose ministry Mrs. Smith became a member of that church five years ago. The music was furnished by a male quartette. The interment was made in the New Richmond cemetery, the pallbearers being Mrs. Irene McMillin, Mrs. Opal Rice, Mrs. Nell Martin, Misses Alma Roark, Anne Smith and Rose Atkinson —members of a former class of young ladies of the Sunday School of which Mrs. Smith was teacher. Mrs. Smith was born May 12, 1883, being 30 years of age at the time of her death She was united in marriage August 12, 1903, to Paul Smith. Of this union two children were born, Max Leon, 10, and Wilda Gay, 5. She leaves to mourn their loss, the husband, two children, father and mother, four sisters and three brothers and a host of friends. The sympathy of the many friends of the husband and two small children goes out to them.

Misses Nora and Minerva Mason of Frankfort were here Friday to attend the funeral of their cousin, Mrs. Paul Smith.
