Mrs. Flora Hazel SMITH, 68, widow of Charles Smith, former Waveland businessman died suddenly Thursday, July 24, 1958 in her home at Waveland. Born Dec 11, 1889, in Indiana, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of John and Emma Payton. She married Mr. Smith in 1917. They operated a filling station in Waveland from 1936-1945. Survivors include the 94-year-old mother, a son, Raymond Busenbark, born to a previous marriage, two daughters, Mrs. Reba Hoffa and Mrs. Helen Perkins, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Charles Payton of Waveland; 5 grandchildren and two greats. Funeral services were Sunday in Machledt-Servies Funeral Home at Waveland, Rev. Eldon Coons officiating. Burial in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Payton; Clarhud Moore; Wayne Simms; Everett Poole; Robert Payton and Herb Wright. Music by Mrs. Lowell Spencer. - kbz
