YEDDO, Ind. – Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington for Mrs. Elsie Lucille Smith, 68, of Yeddo who died Monday (May 22, 1978) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been ill two years. The Rev, Alfred Dobbs will officiate, and burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. She was born April 25, 1910 in Fountain County, the daughter of James and Alice LeTourette Evans, She married Dallas Davis on April 2, 1928. He died Nov, 21, 1946. She later married Ross E. Smith on Dec. 19, 1948. He died Dec. 31, 1966. Survivors include a son, Larry Davis of Kingman Route 1; two daughters. Mrs. Willard (Barbara) Pang of Covington Route 1 and Bobby Smith of Veedersburg; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Davis of Covington Route 3; and two grandsons, She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson and a sister. She was a life resident of Fountain County and lived in Yeddo for 32 years. She was a retired cook, and last worked at the Beef House in Covington. – jlr
