Smith - Clara Gibson

Mrs. Clara E. Smith died at Culver Union Hospital Tuesday night at five (?). She had been in poor health for over a year and her death was caused by Bright's disease. She was taken to the hospital from her residence last Saturday and grew worse until the end. Three weeks ago Mrs. Smith attended the funeral of he rmother, Mrs. Ed Gibson at Terre Haute and since that time she had been in unusually poor health. She was born in Terre Haute 47 years ago. She was twice married, her first husband being John Huff. Following his death she was married to Marion D. Smith whose death occurred a few years ago. Besides her father, Ed Gibson, of Terre Haute, she is survived by the following children: Mrs. Commodore Adair, Frank and Ally Smith of this city. She is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Emma Nave of Bluffton, Ind; Mrs. James Herron, Mrs. Henry Layman, Mrs. Ed Payton, all residing at Terre Haute. One brother, Charles Gibson, living at Terre Haute, also survies. The funeral will be conducted from the ho9me of her daughter, Mrs. Commodore Adair 510 Binford Street and will be private - kbz
