Waynetown - - Lee Small, 50, of Waynetown died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been ill two weeks and in the hospital two days.  Born May 2, 1915 at Wingate, he was the son of Charles and Hazel Ferguson Small. He was married Oct 26, 1950 to Sarah Vestal at Lafayette.  Mr. SMall attended schools at Waynetown and Covington. He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and Legion Post 445.  Mr. Small was an overseas veteran of WWII, serving in the Army in France, the Rhineland and Central Europe for a year and __ months (sorry there was a tear in the newspaper). He operated Small's Rest Home for 17 years and also the Wayne Hotel and Tourist Home for Retired Veterans. He was engaged also in the building and wrecking of business and topsoil and gravel business. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Jimmy and Billy and three daughters, Jackie Sue, Betty Lou and Linda Lee, all at home and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Barkley of Wayne, Mich. Funeral services are announced for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Servies Funeral Home with Rev. Myron Hinton officiating and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
