Hillsboro - Lois C. SLOAN, 78, of Rt 1 Waynetown, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday in Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville. She was a member of the Mellott Church of Christ, Cain Twp Home Ec Club and 50-year-member of Fern Chapter 194 Order of Eastern Star. She attended Newtown HS. Mrs. Sloan was born 19 July 1910 in Tippecanoe County to Emmett and Quiteria Jaggers Cain. She married Kenneth B. Sloan 18 Aug 1932. He died 10 Jan 1978. Survivors include two sons, Roy and Dale; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Strawser of Tampa, Fla; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services are for 2 p.m .Sunday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro, Rev. William Chapman officiating; burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home with Order of Eastern Star services at 8 p.m.
