Sloan - Agnes Clouse

Wallace - Agnes Sloan 64, of Rt 1, Hillsboro, a retired RR Donnelley & Sons Co employee and native of the Jackson Township area, died at 9:55 a.m. Friday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been a patient 8 days. Mrs. Sloan worked for the Donnelley firm 23 years, retiring in 1969. She and her husband also farmed south of Hillsboro since 1938. She was a member of Wallace Phanuel Lutheran Church and graduate of Wallace HS. She was born April 10, 1910, a daughter of Bert and Cora Clodfelder Clouse. She married Fred W. Sloan of Alamo in 1929. He is deceased. Surviving are a son, William R. Sloan of Rt 1, Hillsboro; two brothers, Easten Clouse of Highland and Gerald R. Clouse of Rt 1, Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Carol West of Porter, Tx and Mrs. Inez Bennett of Rt 1, Hillsboro; 7 grandchildren and a great grandson. Two brothers are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Phanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl Korbel officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. Friends may call at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown after 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
