LADOGA – Mrs. Opal F.
Skinner, 80, of Ladoga, died in her home Saturday evening. She was a former
member of the Congress Street Methodist Church at Lafayette. Mrs. Skinner had
lived at Crawfordsville, Lafayette and Browns Valley prior to moving to Ladoga.
Born June 3, 1895, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of Edwin Donnelly
and Elizabeth Reynolds Delaney. She married Claude R. Williams who died in
1951. She married Harry Skinner on Aug. 27, 1959, at Ladoga. He died in 1961.
Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Lucille Redden of Crawfordsville; and two cousins,
Miss Iva Reynolds and Mrs. Lloyd (Nellie) Williams. Services will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Henry Karg
officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the
funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
