Skaggs - Gertrude Stockdale - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Mrs. Gertrude Skaggs, well known resident of Waynetown passed away at Culver Hospital Tuesday morning after a brief illness.  Her death followed a major operation at the hospital last Friday. Mrs. Skaggs was 55 years old and was the daughter of James and Lydia Fouts Stockdale. She was born near Waynetown and was a graduate of the Waynetown high school.  She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Frank of Waynetown; Carl of Newcastle and Ralph of Bloomington; one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Oglebay of Kokomo; two brothers, Truman and Charles Stockdale of Waynetown and a sister, Mrs. Alfred Keys of Lebanon. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
