Funeral services were held Monday at Norwalk, Calif., for Osbie P. Smith, 53, brother of two Montgomery County residents. Mr. Smith died there Friday following a six-month illness. The son of Mack and Lula Smith, he was born in Monroe County, Va., Dec. 14, 1904. Mr. Smith joined the Youngs Chapel Church in October 1921. He was married in 1939 to the former Miss Betty Coughlin of South Gate, Calif. Survivors include the widow; a son, Michael; a daughter, Pamela; two brothers, W. L. Smith of New Market and Clyde Smith of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard Smith of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Russell Bidgood of Tucson, Ariz.
